Our Story

Learn how Sol's ARC focuses on young adults who have dropped out or are about to drop out of the education system, with a specific emphasis on those with Intellectual Disabilities and Autism.

Sonali Saini

Executive Director

Sonali Saini is the founder and Executive Director of Sol's ARC. She has a Master's in Special Education and Management Degree in Social Entrepreneurship. Having over 25 years of experience in the space of inclusive education, her core strength is developing inclusive solutions and programs that can be implemented at scale. She has been an inclusive pedagogy consultant to many leading NGOs in India like Educate Girls, Teach for India, Central Square Foundation, and ATMA to name a few. She has also served on many Government committees in Education and currently serves on the board of ATMA, an organization working on the capacity building of NGOs.

Tina Gandhi

Director, Functional Operations

Tina is a powerhouse of efficiency, seamlessly juggling multiple responsibilities while embracing new challenges. She is a highly skilled professional with a strong track record of driving impact across both corporate and non-profit sectors with 15+ years of experience. With her ability to manage complex programs, streamline operations, and build high-performing teams, she consistently delivers results with precision and efficiency. Her expertise spans across finance, HR, and operations, where she has successfully navigated challenging environments and ensured seamless execution of strategic initiatives. In addition to her technical proficiency, Tina possesses exceptional soft skills, including data analysis, communication, presentation, and documentation, enabling her to make informed decisions, articulate ideas effectively, and maintain meticulous records. Tina’s academic background further strengthens her professional acumen. She holds an MBA in Information Systems from Jankidevi Bajaj Institute of Management Studies and a Postgraduate degree in Social Entrepreneurship from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies. This unique combination of business and social impact education allows her to bring an innovative and well-rounded perspective to every challenge she takes on. With her passion for purpose-driven work and her ability to lead with clarity and impact, Tina continues to create meaningful change in every space she engages with and thrives in fast-paced environments, ensuring that operations run like a well-oiled machine

Priti Srivastava

Director, Programs

With 20+ years of experience in service delivery, strategy, risk management, and people operations, Priti is the go-to person for handling large teams and complex challenges. She has a talent for making every team member feel seen and heard while ensuring smooth program execution. A problem solver at heart, she embraces continuous improvement and alternative approaches. After a successful corporate career, she transitioned to the development sector to reconnect, rediscover, and recharge—bringing her expertise to drive meaningful change.

Gaurav Jogal

Senior Lead Enabler

Gaurav is a dedicated education and policy professional with a strong background in strategic planning and systemic reform. He began his journey with Teach For India (TFI), where he spent two years teaching in government schools, gaining firsthand experience of the challenges and opportunities within the public education system. He then joined Sol's ARC, contributing to its mission of inclusive education for two years before pursuing a one-year fellowship at Praja, where he worked closely with politicians on governance and policy issues. This experience deepened his understanding of political frameworks and the intersection of policy and grassroots impact. Currently, Gaurav leads the Strategy Team at Sol’s ARC, driving large-scale initiatives to create sustainable and inclusive education models. His work focuses on forging partnerships, designing impactful programs, and ensuring systemic change in collaboration with governments and organizations. Beyond his professional life, Gaurav is a passionate sports enthusiast, an avid follower of politics, and an admirer of poetry, finding inspiration in both words and the world around him

Sunil Jagtap

Graphic Designing Manager

With an experience spanning 14 years in Graphic Designing, Sunil leads the Design team at Sol’s ARC. On the education front, he holds a degree in Commerce and has done a 3 years animation course. Sunil specializes in the latest versions of softwares like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, Adobe Premiere Pro and Corel Draw. Before joining Sol’s ARC, Sunil has worked in various sectors like Digital Media, Print Media, Advertisement, Education and Web Development. He has worked with companies like Bricks & Clicks Advertising, Unicus Interactive, Reliance Digital to name a few. He is a pro when it comes to designing brochures, flyers, leaflets, logos, banners and social media post creatives. Sunil also knows about static website designing.

Mukesh Prasad

Program Curriculum Lead

Mukesh Prasad is an accomplished Program Curriculum Lead with over eight years of experience in curriculum development and project management, specialising in inclusive mathematics education. He holds a Master of Science in Mathematics and a Bachelor of Education, underscoring his dedication to educational equity. In his current role at Sol's ARC, Mukesh is instrumental in designing and implementing curricula that provide all students, regardless of their backgrounds, with equitable access to quality learning opportunities.

Ketaki Tarde

Training Lead

A counselling psychology professional with over a decade of experience, Ketaki Tarde is passionate about inclusive education and community well-being. She has worked on mental health, gender equity, cyber safety, and child protection, collaborating with police and stakeholders to safeguard children. As Training Lead at Sol’s ARC, she designs engaging modules on disabilities and inclusion. With experience at Aangan Trust, Deepam Society, and Tata Trust projects, Ketaki blends expertise with storytelling, making education accessible and driving meaningful change.

Hussain Panjwani

Sustainability Manager

Hussain is an experienced fundraiser with 17 years of success, failures and driving impactful initiatives across organisations like Plan India, SMILE, GiveIndia, Coca-Cola, and Giordano. A natural relationship builder, he is passionate about sustainable growth and engaging people in meaningful conversations about diversity. Always smiling and ready to help, he never shies away from pushing the cause forward. A sports enthusiast, he’s particularly passionate about football, followed closely by cricket and just about every other sport!

Jaidip Mukherjee

Rural Livelihood Lead

Jaidip is a livelihood expert with over a decade of experience empowering persons with disabilities (PwDs) through inclusive programs. With a Master’s in Mass Communication, he has worked with organisations and government bodies, including the West Bengal State Rural Livelihood Mission. Passionate about advocacy and partnership-building, he develops innovative strategies for social inclusion. In his free time, he explores his love for photography, painting, and visual storytelling.

Pradeep Tiwari

State Lead, Uttar Pradesh

With over 18 years of experience in field operations, training, strategy, and curriculum design, Pradeep is a results-driven development professional. He has worked with organisations like NALANDA, Azim Premji Foundation, and Room to Read, providing technical support and leading large-scale projects. Known for his infectious energy and problem-solving mindset, he believes in effective communication and a hands-on approach to development work. A true self-starter, he ensures every project delivers impact on the ground.

Manisha Kapoor

Vice President

Manisha is the CEO & Secretary General of The Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI). She has been associated with ASCI since 2015 in the capacity of a Consumer Complaints Council (CCC) member. Under her leadership and her vast experience with brands, Manisha is spearheading several strategic initiatives to get ASCI ready to be future-facing in extremely challenging times. On the global circuit, representing ASCI, Manisha is one of the four vice- presidents on the executive committee of International Council of Ad Self-Regulation (ICAS). She is also a special invitee to the Empowered Group on Covid Communication, formed by the Government of India. Over the past 25 years, Manisha has helped companies establish and nurture brands through brand building, new product development, marketing strategy development as well as media strategies. She started her career at Hindustan Unilever Ltd. and Johnson & Johnson, and then went on to be a strategic consultant to companies in banking, insurance, financial broking, automotive, FMCG, healthcare, wellness, food, media, aviation, apparel and lifestyle sectors. Manisha also has rich experience in the development sector and has worked with different organizations on initiatives to create sustainable social impact.

Pooja Taparia

Secretary

Pooja Taparia is Founder and Chief Executive of Arpan, a non-profit based in Mumbai working towards the elimination of Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) in India. Pooja embodies the spirit of the modern-day social entrepreneur and has grown Arpan from a two-person start-up into a 140 people team, one of the world's largest non-profits working on prevention and healing of CSA that has impacted 3 million children and adults to date. She is a globally recognised thought leader in the CSA space and has won numerous awards for her exemplary work.

Sudhakar Thorat

Treasurer

Mr. Thorat is one of the founding board members of Sol’s ARC. Mr. Thorat works as a consultant on large infrastructure projects with JKumar Infrastructure. Over the past 60 years, Mr. Thorat has worked extensively on various projects in the Government sector. His experience and vast network plays a valuable role in the growth of Sol’s ARC.

Varsha Valecha

Board Member

Varsha has an MBA in Finance and nearly 28 years of experience in Investment Banking and Indian Equities. She has handled fund raising mandates in Public and Private markets, mergers and acquisitions in her long and distinguished career. Varsha has been associated with some of the most prestigious transactions in India during her time with pioneers such as Enam, Royal Bank of Scotland and Edelweiss. She brings with her an in-depth understanding and knowledge of industries and corporates.

Namrata Bachani

Board Member

Namrata Bachani, an alumni of the Indian School of Business (ISB), has dedicated nearly 2 decades in the field of childcare solutions in India. Having pioneered corporate childcare services Namrata's journey is reinforced by a profound belief in the power of responsible childcare solutions. She has consistently championed the idea that these solutions not only enable women to re-enter the workforce but also empower them to pursue their aspirations, ultimately leading to more fulfilling lives. Namrata Bachani's journey is a testament to her visionary outlook and dedication to bringing about positive change. Her work in the childcare sector, as well as her current role at The Advertising Standards Council of India, showcases her unwavering commitment to making a meaningful impact on society, both professionally and ethically.

Kusum Mohapatra

Kusum Mohapatra is a dynamic professional with a deep passion for developing scalable and sustainable models that operate effectively within existing systems. With over twenty five years of experience, she excels in managing organizations geared towards large-scale impact. Her expertise spans Systems Change, Project Cycle Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, and forging strategic partnerships with government, NGOs, bilateral, and multilateral agencies. As the Regional Director (Asia & Africa) and India CEO at Miracle Foundation, she drives transformative growth and scalable change. Kusum's leadership roles at organizations like Sampark Foundation and Magic Bus India Foundation highlight her capacity to design and implement scalable programs.
